Background: Ylana was the youngest member of a rich, noble family on Shill. During her youth, she had everything she wanted, but love and attention from her parents and siblings. As a teenager she started doing some petty crimes, as joyriding, to get some attention. It helped a little and her parents had to keep her out of jail on numerous occasions. But the grew tired of spending time and money (and losing face to other families) because of the youngest child. So they stopped bribing justice officers and Ylana had to spend time in jail for stealing and crashing a small space craft in a lake. During herbtime in jail, she received no visits from her family but she made some contacts with other convicts. When she got out, she met with a Zabrak she met in jail and they started stealing and selling vehicles. But the law tracked them down. The Zabrak pulled a gun and tried to fight her way out, but she got shot. Ylana could flee in the confusion of the fight. She stole a small spacecraft and fled to a nearby system. Which has become a habit when things are getting dangerous.

Ylana Tser was hanging around in a cantina on Ryloth when two figures entered. The first was a human man dressed in a brown coat. The second one was a female Zabrak with brown coloured skin and black hair. They approached the bar and the man beckoned the bartender. The bartender came closer and the man leaned forward. He whispered something and the bartender nodded towards the booth next to Ylana’s. The two ordered a drink and sat in the booth. The woman started talking “Sir, how are we going to get the goods off-world if without a pilot? Ylana could hear the man laugh “We will find a way, we always do.” “It would be easier if we could keep a pilot for a while, sir”, replied the woman. “I can’t help it, when they all resign within a week”, the man said, “they always seem to get a better offer after our first haul”.
Ylana turned towards their booth: “Excuse me, I couldn’t help but hear you are in need of a pilot. I’m a pilot looking for work. Maybe we can help each other.”
The man smiled and invited her in their booth. Ylana noticed they both had a holstered pistol on their hip, and she realised they were not the average, run-of-the-mill merchants. She smiled.
The man introduced himself a captain Jack Mills, the Zabrak was his first mate, Zan Tyzen.
They talked for a while and Captain Mills agreed to hire Ylana. Zan agreed reluctantly.
Later that evening, a man joined them and they discussed things about a cargo that needed to get to Alderaan discreetly. Captain Mills assured the man that discreet was his trademark.
The next day, they went to a landing dock. Captain Mills showed Ylana her bunk and then she had to help Zan to load ten crates on board and store them in some hidden compartments. Captain Mills asked Ylana to start the engines and take off. As soon as Ylana started the engines, a voice on the comm told them they were not cleared for departure. Captain Mills smiled and told Ylana laughing to ignore that. Minutes after they took off, two aircraft followed them. It were fighters from the planets government ordering them to land. Ylana manoeuvred the ship and the two fighters collided against each other. A few minutes later they left Ryloth and entered hyperspace.
They arrived on Alderaan without any problems. Captian Mills and Zan left the ship to meet with their contact. As soon as they left the ship, Ylana closed the ramp and took off. She smiled and waved from the cockpit as captain Mills started shouting. Zan just crossed her arms and said something to him. Ylana took off and flew to Tatooine, hoping to sell the cargo to the Hutts.
When she arrived on Tatooine, she opened one of the crates to get a sample to make the trade. The crate was filled to the rim with Gungan dolls. She cursed and checked to other crates. All crates were filled with Gungan dolls. She went to a cantina to get a drink and see if there would be anyone on this planet interested in these crates. The bartender laughed and told her she had to discuss it with the Hutts, but they would have little value for that cargo and would rather enslave her or worse.
So Ylana went back to the ship, but a group of thugs were waiting for her. When they noticed her, a Hutt slithered forth from the shadows, proclaiming she had no permission to land here, so her ship was impounded. Ylana tried to argue with the Hutt to make a deal, but she had nothing to trade as the ship and cargo were already in hands of the Crakka the Hutt. He gestured and the thugs started shooting. Ylana shot her way out of the landing dock. She took a landspeeder and went to the next town.
Now, Ylana is hanging around in a cantina in Mos Eisley on Tatooine, again looking for work or a way to get off-world.
